G305 Vs G Pro Wireless Which Is Better In 2022
There are many ways to compare the G305 vs G Pro Wireless, such as weight and length, performance, and size. The G305 is shorter, lighter, and has a low-sensitivity range. The G Pro Wireless is longer, heavier, and has a higher-sensitivity range.

In this article,  Rezence will go through everything there is to know about these gaming mice.

Logitech G Pro Wireless Vs G305 Overview

Logitech G305 Wireless Gaming Mouse

Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless mouse is very good and has impressive specifications. G305 was the most popular gaming mouse of its day and G305 Lightspeed continues to be the best-gaming model.

Although the rubber grips on the bottom and battery mount are not ideal, Logitech G305 is a great value for money. This model is a great choice if you are looking for a gaming mouse that is minimalist and meets all your needs.

Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse

Logitech G Pro Wireless mouse is undoubtedly one of the most popular on the market. It’s also unmatched in performance and durability.

This mouse is used by almost every major esports player and they seem very happy with it.

Although the simple design may be annoying if your RBG-lit battle station is equipped with a battle screen, it will make you more competitive in Warzone and Fortnite.

G Pro Wireless Vs G305 Comparison

Build & Shape

Logitech’s G Pro mouse is small and simple. The mouse’s shape is similar to the G100, and it is approximately the same size as G303. If you are a fan of those mice, the G Pro is worth a look.

It’s a very comfortable mouse because of its conservative design. Although it’s a good general mouse, some prefer it. Pro players prefer a smaller mouse that fits your hand more like a glove. Because of its low and flat shape, the Logitech G305 Lightspeed is small to medium-sized mouse, it will likely be more suitable for claw and fingertip grip than a hard palm grip.

The G305/G Pro wired is just 6.2cm wide, 11.6cm long, and 3.8cm high. It’s clearly designed for smaller hands.

The sides of the mouse have no grips and are flat on the sides. However, the mouse’s shape is so light that it is easy to pick up.

The mouse’s entire body is made from matte plastic. It has a good grip, but it is not as slippery as G Pro. There is a slight inconsistency in the build quality. The black G305 mouse creaks when squeezed.

The white G305 mouse squeaks less. This is not a problem unless you can kung fu grip the mouse. Although the G305 has some rattle, it isn’t the strongest mouse I have reviewed.

The mouse’s feet are a bit lacking. The G Pro has 4 small skates at each corner. I prefer more solid feet to my mice.

Sensor And Performance

The G305 lightspeed has the HERO12K sensor. It is a perfect sensor equal to the Pixart PMW3366. Logitech designed the HERO12K to maximize battery life. I am happy to report that Logitech’s battery life has been amazing at 250 hours with one AA.

Logitech G Pro comes with a Pixart PMW3366 optical scanner. This is Logitech’s top-tier PMW3360. The PMW3360 provides a wide effective range of DPI, with no acceleration or prediction and no jitter. It also has a low liftoff distance. You’re seeing the Pixart3360 and any variants of it, which is basically a perfect sensor.

The wireless version is lighter at 85g and the wired version is lighter at 88g. This mouse can be maneuvered with ease thanks to the sensor.

The thick braided wire cable keeps the wired G Pro away. All wired Logitech mice have a thick braided wire cable. This cable can drag on your desk and affect your aim. The wireless gaming mouse is lighter than the wired mouse version, so any additional drag weight will be noticeable.

Some mouse bungies won’t accept the cable because it is too thick. Even with the bungies that fit, the cord can sometimes get in your way. Logitech G Pro requires you to be very careful about cord setup.

DPI

Logitech G305 Gaming Mouse and G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse. They offer decent DPI resolutions for players to find their sweet spot.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed has a maximum 12,000DPI resolution and five profiles. G Pro gaming mouse has a maximum DPI of 16,000DPI resolutions. It can also be customized to save various DPI profiles.

G Pro offers more DPI and is more future-proof than G305.

Price

The price difference between G305 and G Pro Wireless mice is huge. Logitech G305 Lightspeed is cheaper than another one, so if you are thinking of buying one, you won’t need to spend too much.

G305 Lightspeed is not an affordable price point, but it is certainly cheaper than G Pro.

The G Pro Wireless is a much more expensive option. It may be the most expensive mouse on the market, but it is well worth every penny.

Connectivity

The G305 and G Pro wireless share another similarity: both gaming mice are equipped with lightspeed wireless connectivity.

Logitech claimed that the Lightspeed Wireless connectivity was the fastest available wireless connection on the market, and most gamers agree with this statement.

These mice will be in strong communication with each other and there won’t be any stuttering or lagging.

Battery Life

G305 Lightspeed can run for up to 250 hours with a single AA battery, while G Pro can go nearly 48 hours on one charge. The G305 is clearly the best when it comes to great battery longevity.

Buttons & Scroll Wheel

Logitech G Pro features a simple 6 button layout with side thumb buttons for right-handers. This makes the ambidextrous shape a bit of a waste for left-handers.

The Logitech Pro buttons are the most tactile on the market. They respond quickly and have a pleasant click.

The Omron switches are tuned to be used by MOBAs as well as shooters.

This mouse is the best for click spamming I have ever seen. High APM players should check it out. This mouse was great for DOTA 2.

Side buttons are small and well placed above the thumbs. There is a distinct separation between front and back. The travel depth of the side buttons is satisfying. You’ll be able tell when the button has been pressed.

The DPI switcher button has been well placed so that it won’t be accidentally pressed.

Also, the scroll wheel is fantastic. It features a well-defined stepping system for the scroll. The surface of the scroll wheels is slightly grippy rubber. The scroll wheel’s middle click feels solid. It is also locked in place and has no movement left or right.

I wish all mice could have the G Pro button feel.

Logitech G305 Wireless

Software & Features

The G Pro, like all Logitech mice, runs on Logitech Gaming Software. It has the following standard features:

  • Surface tuning
  • RGB lighting settings
  • DPI stepping
  • Saved profiles can be found on the mouse
  • Button remapping
  • Analyse of input
  • Macro recording

The RGB runs along the mouse’s heel and is accompanied by a standard Logitech G logo. There is no scroll wheel RGB on a G Pro. The RGB is great with a solid striped design.

Logitech is smart to not try and shoehorn this in for gamers who might be unable to handle a variable-weight system.

Although the G305 wireless uses an internal rechargeable battery to power its internal batteries, the results are excellent.

Lagless wireless response

Amazing battery life: 250 hours in performance mode (1000hz polling), up to 9 months in endurance mode (switchable with Logitech software).

Warranty And Reliability

Logitech G Pro comes with a 2-year warranty. Logitech’s warranty is excellent. My G403 scroll wheel began acting randomly, and Logitech replaced it with a G703 quickly. Logitech products are easy to trust.
